Women Empowerment Talk: Inspiring Confidence, Leadership, and Self-Belief

The Women Empowerment Talk is one of the gender equality and women’s leadership initiatives of the Rotaract Club of Tacloban, dedicated to creating safe and empowering spaces where girls and women can build confidence, discover their potential, and embrace leadership. Anchored on the belief that empowered women create stronger communities, the project promotes self-belief, resilience, and personal growth while encouraging participants to pursue their aspirations without fear or limitation.


Recognizing the importance of positive role models and meaningful conversations, the initiative brings together inspiring women leaders who share their personal journeys, challenges, and successes. Through these stories, participants are encouraged to develop confidence in their abilities, recognize their worth, and understand that every dream begins with believing in oneself. The project also reinforces the values of mutual support, inclusivity, and empowering one another to become catalysts for positive change.


One of the project's notable sessions was conducted in partnership with the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay 74 Lower Nulatula and Miss Universe Philippines – Tacloban. The event featured Ms. Jacqueline Gulrajani, Miss Universe Philippines–Tacloban 2026, who inspired participants through an engaging discussion on self-confidence, perseverance, leadership, and the courage to dream boldly. Drawing from her own experiences, she encouraged girls and women to embrace their individuality, overcome challenges with resilience, and pursue opportunities that allow them to grow personally and professionally.


More than a motivational forum, the Women Empowerment Talk serves as a platform for meaningful dialogue and community building. It reminds participants that empowerment is not only about achieving personal success but also about uplifting others, breaking barriers, and creating environments where every woman and girl feels respected, valued, and heard.

Through the Women Empowerment Talk, the Rotaract Club of Tacloban continues its commitment to advancing gender equality, developing future women leaders, and fostering inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. By inspiring confidence, celebrating potential, and encouraging leadership, the project contributes to a future where girls are empowered to dream fearlessly, women are equipped to lead with purpose, and communities grow stronger through equality and shared opportunity.

Urban Bayanihan: Building Resilient and Inclusive Communities

Urban Bayanihan is the Rotaract Club of Tacloban's flagship environmental and climate action initiative, created to empower communities through sustainability education, environmental stewardship, and collaborative action. Anchored on the belief that meaningful climate action begins at the local level, the project brings together young leaders, community organizations, government agencies, and environmental advocates to address pressing environmental challenges while promoting resilience and inclusion.
